I'm just nuts about photographic images! I am new to
flickr and I love the variety of photos posted here to
enjoy and experience. From me you'll find a mix of some photography and some "pitchers"....I mostly have fun but occasionally work hard for a specific image or idea....the fun and the sharing is the thing ....

Part of my personality is in my icon....take that as you will.
The icon is special because it's my girl, Stella, the only natural blonde female to totally capture my heart! I named her Stella because I was performing "Streetcar Named Desire" at the time and she has tragically passed since then. Her pics can lift me from the deepest depth. Like her I am loyal enthusiastic friendly loving energetic and eager to please....

I also strive for the ideals expressed in Desiderata. Google it if you are unfamiliar, or re-read it again even if you think you remember. Examine the subtleties.

I'm a guy who loves to take pictures and laugh and go OOOH and AHHHH and WOW THAT ONE TURNED OUT GOOD and LOOKIT THAT (LOL) mostly for my own pleasure and visual memory files (I'm very visually oriented)....one day I will learn all the finer points, have a really really great camera and bore everyone to tears! (smile) Until then, I will feast on all of your labors...

I take a LOT of video especially in my travels and wish I could pull out some of the wonderful things I've filmed as a single shot, its there I get my best composition and inspiration. My stage work might have something to do that. I had put down my SLR for many years in favor of the "motion picture" but discovering Flickr has sparked a renewed interest and desire. Will just have to wait and see where that takes me. After all, that ability/desire to "capture a moment" or "freeze frame a narrative" is why I love the experience of photography in the first place. (besides the afore mentioned visually oriented mind).

I applaud all the terrific photographers and artists on this site..!! The heartfelt sharing that goes on here is a joy. The mix of pro and amateur, and the variety of subjects is so refreshing and stimulating!

it. I just have this passion for images....and all the allure
beauty emotion they convey.

Currently experiencing midlife....age 56, been gray since I was 39...sigh

Most of my pics are taken with a Canon Elph S410 or S210 camera. Many limitations but easy to tote and easy on my bank balance. I'm hoping a DSLR looms in my future...I currently do not possess either the programs or the knowledge associated with photoshop and the like....aside from a crop and a contrast, what I see is what you get....I do employ several Cokin filters... update: am learning to use Picasa and enjoying myself
