I'm a professional educator with more time on my hands at this point in my life, living in a great city but loving the countryside and the sea.

I'm part of the generation that were woken up by the sounds of rock n roll in the fifties, so I got me a guitar and tried to play. Still trying. I play with various shifting alliances of friends in blues bands, and I can now play more than 12 bars at a time

I try to paint (and make prints), and I draw, in the country and in the city. I like sharing this stuff through flickr and other sites - I particularly like the work on the Urban Sketchers blog
