My name is John, but people usually just call me Iwanski. I live in Chicago. I like to take pictures. I'm a bit reclusive, to be honest. Still, I hope you enjoy my photos. Thank you very much for stopping by.

For the heck of it, here's a little bit about me:

I am a writer. I don't take myself too seriously. I suspect that I'm sort of an idiot.

I am a survivor of heart problems and open-heart surgery... and grateful to still be here. I enjoy life. I love comedy, literature, music, history, geography, transit, cities, nature, and art. I am not a member or believer of any isms. I think fear is the enemy of all that is good. I am militantly in favor of the underdogs, the dorks, the misunderstood, the rebellious, the unpresentable, the irreverent, the neurotic, the misfits, and the freaks. I am married to the coolest and prettiest girl on Earth. I don't like material things much, except for items like cameras, pencils, musical instruments, and other tools of creativity. I got rid of my cars in the 1990s and I do just fine without them. The simple life thrills me. Walking in the city is my idea of a good time. I'm always happy when I'm at library or the Lincoln Park Zoo.

When it comes to protecting my copyright and intellectual property, I don't mess around.
