A bit about me...
I'm a PhD student in political science, specializing in the political economy of developing countries with a regional focus on South Asia. My current research examines how policies to universalize primary education are being implemented by the Indian government across different parts of the country.

I was born in New Delhi and grew up in New York City. Nearly all of my schooling took place in cities along the northeast coast of the United States, with a brief stint in England. India has always played a major role in my life as well, since I spent most of my childhood summers there with my family. These days I lead a nomadic existence, traveling between the United States and India as I conduct fieldwork for my dissertation. It is challenging but lots of fun, and it provides a great opportunity to take photos!

Photography is new to me. I use a Nikon D80 with a 18-200mm AF-S DX VR Nikkor lens. I'm trying to get a handle on the basics and have a long way to go. Flickr has been a wonderful place to learn from others. I'm simply blown away by what I see here. I hope you find some of my photos interesting too. Constructive criticism is very much appreciated.
