I work in a technical field as a software engineer. On my first job out of college, my manager told me that as someone who works in a technical discipline, it would be good to get in touch with my artsy side. He was an avid photographer, so he recommended photography.

As it turns out, photography seemed the perfect marriage between technology and art, which is a great fit for someone like me. I started in 2002 but life has conspired to keep me away from photography until I started again in the beginning of 2010.

Recent events in my life have given me newer appreciation of the art. It has been therapeutic and meditative, which is an aspect of photography that I had not known before.

I strive to do everything I do with passion and deliberateness. One of my favorite quotations (I do not know the source) which I try hard to live by is:

"Do it until it becomes boring, then keep doing it until it becomes beautiful."
