Addicted to Flickr…

Hello, my name is Jason Meredith and I live in Louisville, Kentucky with my wife and best friend Amy, and our daughter Nicole. We are the Meredith family (MerFam).

I discovered Flickr in March of 2005. At first I thought it was just another site to check out between projects at work, but the more time I spent on the site I realized I was on to something huge. It was more than another Web site or on-line community – it was an open window to people, places and lives – and so very candied.

I began following snapshot documentaries of families I didn’t know. I was inspired by amazing imagery taken by people I would never meet. I have seen places that make me want to travel. The photos on Flickr have invoked my every emotion, all of them, unlike anything else.

It doesn’t have to be a birthday, wedding, or family reunion to get your camera out. Flickr made me realize that, and I carry my camera with me everywhere I go now. Even a trip to the grocery store can turn into a photo adventure.

In October of 2005 I joined Flickr and it’s by far the best $1.90 per month I have spent. I post frequently and occasionally pull off some pretty great shots. Let me know what you think.
