I initially joined flickr to get some information about a new Sigma 135-400mm f/4.5-5.6 lens I recently purchased. Looking around and seeing some of the results from the same lens has inspired me to move forward and try my hand at getting some acceptable images. Eventually I'll be adding other images using other lenses but getting a handle on the Sigma is my starting point.

I've been around cameras and photography for some time now. I work with images at my job and images have always been a big part of my life. I appreciate flickr for what it is and the talent pool that makes up its membership. Sometimes I'm literally blown away by some of the photography and artwork that I see on these pages. The thing about computers and photography is that there is always something new to learn. My head was recently turned by some HDR images and now I'm like a kid in a candy store learning something new. Just as I was getting my feet wet with HDR along came Topaz to add to the pot. Hmm... Just continues to get more interesting.
