I love to travel, so I have just found out after 45 yrs. I guess I had always had the desire to travel but like most of us I did the "right thing" listened to my conservative parents instead of listening to my heart. I did venture out for a short time @ 18, but then I came back and settled into city life. I broke the cycle in 2009 and went to Brazil. It was a fantastic experience opened my eyes and my mind to just how much the world has to offer and how friendly people can be. Since then I have travelled some more in Australia and other parts of the world, but no where near as much as I would like to. The strongest advice I can give to my children is get out go see it live it. My wife cringes every time I tell my daughter this. So if you have a little desire or curiosity, don’t be afraid choose a destination if you can find a friend and take a year or so off and do it. You have the rest of your life to grow old and stay put.
