I wear a lot of hats over the course of a day: Photographer, engineer, DJ, activist, organizer...sometimes I even find time to be part of the problem.

A lot of my photos these days involves a variety of HDR techniques. I don't shoot things as they 'really are' -- I shoot them as you may remember them, or as how you might describe them years from now, or dreamed about them last night. Call it 'Visionary Photography' if you want to put a box around it. I don't shoot a lot of people (which is a good thing because murder is frowned upon) and love to shoot at night and at sunrise.

I spent all my rent and food money on a D3 last winter, and it was the best stupid thing I've done in a long time. It's a complex tool and it'll take me years to get my head around it...in the mean time it lets me squeeze a lot more out of the left side of the histogram and shoot in lower light conditions. I also have a Nikon D80 and have had a Tokina 12-24 lens on it for most of my photos prior to getting the D3.

Things I like: Panoramic photography, hdr panos, shooting at sunrise, low light photography, long exposures, and hdr panos shot at night. Things I really really like: Constructive criticism, watching "real" photographers do their thing, moments of blind inspiration, the very rare unexpectedly awesome capture, fast hard drives, cheap ram and doing amazingly stupid things for only the best of reasons.
