Non Paratus' photostream  

I'm in the Los Angeles area.

I learned photography with film, including darkroom work, which is happily behind me. My first digital camera was a Minolta Dimage 7, but it ate up batteries like crazy and had a poor dynamic range. The zoom lens it came with had serious vignetting at wide angle settings ... pretty sad for a relatively expensive camera.

My photostream captures images from every day, as well as those from occasional photowalks with the Los Angeles Flickr group. I have a particular interest in architectural abstracts and I am fond of 3D cross-eye-view photographs.

I also have a film camera is also a Canon, but I hardly ever shoot with it anymore because I cannot find a way to capture the images with enough fidelity when I scan them. When I do shoot film, I usually use Fuji Velvia transparency film. It has beautiful color saturation with excellent blues and greens for landscape shots.

I am an admin for a group called Fragmented Reflections and for Art Deco Los Angeles.
