My name is Kelly, I'm 26. I was born and raised in western New York. I have been into mostly digital photography for about 10 years (since I was 16/17). I love the challenge it gives me and the way it has shaped my way of looking at things. It's also the one thing I never run out of ambition or passion for. Up until now, I've been self-and-book-taught and it's something I'm continuously trying to improve at. I got my diploma from PI in June of 2009.

I don't shoot any particular subjects, I'm all over the map. Anything that inspires me to make a photo can end up here.

My goal at the moment is to do this professionally! I'm still learning.

    "Kelly didn't want an ordinary umbrella, she insisted on the strongest one. I informed her that in my 31 years selling umbrellas out of my store, I've never carried one strong enough to withstand the pressure of Niagara Falls, and she should consider either a raincoat & helmet, or perhaps a clinical mental evaluation. Insisting on her sanity, she emphasized that the umbrella was essential to doing the first time-lapse photography looking directly up at the mouth of the great falls. Even though I could visualize her intentions, I kindly told her she was bat-crazy and to get out of my store. After knocking over my entire rack of Spongebob & Simpsons umbrellas, she came back in crying and apologizing. She had a passion for taking unique photos and these sort of logistical obstacles were just unacceptable. Twice she asked the Dept of Water to shut off the water going over the falls, so she could get in place; denied. Yet another time she hired a group of paleontologists, a mechanical engineer and a Coors distributor to use actual fossils and dna to recreate a pterodactyl to fly into the sunset for another photo; denied. I offered her a Twinky and 7-Up and we talked for the better part of that afternoon. Her passion goes deep with not just photography but life in general. A great personality, she has the determination of an injured donkey going up a steep hill. I don't know what that means, either. But Kelly is good people and if you ever meet her on the street, make sure you get to know her. Just don't willing accept any offer to photograph the falls."
