I'm living in Karlsruhe, Germany, working as a webdesigner. In my free time I love to take photos, especially of landscape, water, skies etc. and I love to share these here on Flickr.

Criticism is always welcome. If you have something to say about my photos, feel free to leave a comment. But please don't post group invites or any badges. I will delete these.

"Matthias' work will blow you away. His nightphotos are full of color and life, he takes long exposure by the arm and manages an artful dance where all the elements fall together prefectly.
Visiting his stream is always an inspiration and joy for me."

    Martin Gommel says:

"Mathias is a very good, highly-gifted photographer. As you see him act behind the camera you will notice the amount of concentration for one shot and the creativity he has. Addional I have to say that Mathias has a good feeling for postprocessing his work in a balanced way."

    artemisia_berlin says:

"Matthias' material reflects a calm, technically perfect photographer who, nevertheless, comes across as a pure artist. Obviously, he knows his equipment and is a specialist regarding long exposures, both at night and in the 'wilderness'. With these night shots and 'supernatural' nature-pics he creates magical atmospheres which make us addicts of his work. On the other hand, he has a keen eye, for capturing people in the most unlikely situations, too. His 'self-portrait with girlfriend reflected in tuba' (if you haven't seen it - go and find it), his masterpiece in this field, shows that although he sometimes takes his time (30 minutes exposures) he can also be quick and ingenious when the situation requires it. Last but not least, he modestly and continually invites us to make critical comments on his work. My only criticism is: Try to take more pictures of 'People' - as you announced in that set. Thanks for sharing your achievements with us."
