What does a man who lives behind the lens of a camera say about himself? I'm more comfortable on this side of the lens, with you in spot lite...

I was born and raised in Middle Village, Queens, the smallest town inside the biggest city in the world. New York City is my home, and I’m equally at peace on the quiet tree lined streets of my neighborhood, as the bustling sidewalks of Manhattan that are bursting with life. It’s here that most of my images are captured, and I’m forever thankful that I won’t be running out of subject matter anytime soon.
I remember the feel of the first camera I ever held – a Polaroid that came from my god-parents for Christmas. I burnt through the packs of film that it came with, capturing what I saw and what I thought was important. I recently re-kindled my love of photography, moving into the digital world with a Nikon D40, and after that the D90.
I don’t have the fanciest gear, the best training, and half the time I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing, but nothing brings me the peace and happiness that I feel when my eye sees the world through the lens.
Well… no, that’s not true. My real happiness is my two beautiful, wonderful, amazing boys and the hugs and love they give me. They’re an endless fountain of happiness to me, and part of me is empty when we’re apart. The fact that they’re so damn cute is another reason they have their own gallery.
If friends are the true currency of life, then I consider myself a billionaire, maybe not in quantity, but definitely in quality. I’m never at a loss for a good bud to share a laugh or a beer with. Their support of my art is one of the driving forces involved in me remembering to grab my camera every time I walk out the door.
