Where in the world I'm living Dublin - Ireland
Favourite subjects to photograph Timed exposures, urban and rural decay and outdoor strobist. I live and work in Dublin so have a lot of coastline available to me. I love to photograph rock rools with reflections of sunset skies.

Was born and raised in Canada

Came of age in a Cornish field
Lived the city life in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Dublin
Read poetry under cherry trees in the Kentish countryside
Enjoyed the opulent high life of Cheltenham Spa
Ate, Slept and journeyed in a 1978 Volkswagen Camper Van around the Pyrenees
Camped and canoed the Dordogne valley
Read poetry with Beatniks in Praha
Danced with fire in the Balearics
Endured the jungles of the Cook Island mountains
Travelled the Indian, Pacific and Atlantic Oceans
Played cricket with Maldivians
Braved wild boars and snakes with the Turkish
Cycled my way around the Irish countryside
Rubbed shoulders with the bourgeoisie technocrats in Estonia's oldest city
Drank Jameson and Chai Tea Lattes in the many coffee houses, bars and tea houses of Seattle
Travelled Highway 101 through Washington state
Camped in the snow, wind and wild rain of Oregon's coast
Snowshoed and danced with Wolves in British Columbia's snowy mountains

Dave G Kelly says:
"Technically very gifted, amongst his many skills James is a master of the seascape. In fact he is producing one of the definitive bodies of work on the Dublin coastline. All he needs now is a publisher.
Oh,and he's a nice bloke too!"29th June, 2009

"If you want some quality long exposure shots then look no further than James's wonderful collection, he never fails to produce a stunning shot. His shots of the Dublin coastline - an area many people neglect to photo - are the best you will find, and a number of well known photogs could learn a thing or two from him.
And he aint half bad at photographing the ladies either, whether its dressing them up as fairy-tale characters, or getting them in the freezing sea or up a freezing mountain, always getting fantastic pictures of them.
With his recent purchase of the D3X I look forward to much more uploading from him :o)"5th March, 2009

Andri Elfarsson says:
"When you get to know James a bit the first thing you will notice is that the man has got spirit. He is all about living life today – there might not be a tomorrow. You don´t even have to know him to find this out, reading through his profile will tell you.
His photography ranges from flower macros to wide angle long exposure landscapes (my favorites). He chooses his subjects carefully and is a master of the man versus nature theme (just check out the Blackrock Tempest duo and find out). Finally a nicely balanced processing style and his dark element are great reasons to subscribe to this flickr."26th February, 2009
