How it all started.....

Hubby describes me as a Food Network addict. I admit, I do have the TV tuned to Channel 51 pretty much at the break of dawn as the weekend begins. Kinda like how some people wakes up to Sunrise Earth, it's "Sunrise Food" for me. My interest in cooking did not start until I left home some 10 - 12 years ago. I can recall the days when I would consider making shake-and-bake chicken with instant mashed potato as a homemade gourmet meal. And then along came Food TV and of course the internet and a few recipe trials (and of course many errors) later, I was hooked. I have discovered a new found passion...cooking! My other addiction is the internet and this is where I stumble upon Flickr and the rest is history :).

I came from not knowing my way around the kitchen to hosting a full Thanksgiving dinner from appetizers all the way to desserts. That was quite a feat...of course I didn't do it all by myself...the hubby and I make a great team. He is the one with the sweet tooth and he enjoys baking so he is in charge of desserts most of the time.

Cooking and taking pictures is my way of escaping or relaxing...it's kinda like how I reboot my system after a long day or stressful day.
