I have spent much of the last 20 years either traveling to, or living in Japan, for one reason or another. I now live in Tokyo and have for the past 12 years.
The thing I miss most about home is nature, wild places, wide open untamed areas (like say Montana/Wyoming) wildlife, and four real distinct seasons. I miss winter with snow!
I don't get out of the city as often as I would like (which would be about every single day), but try to find what nature I can in it. Of course I have to change my definition of nature to do so...
That said, I have recently become more interested in people and life in the city. Tokyo, it seems, has changed me in more ways than one.
Current cameras include Nikon D70s, D300, Olympus OM-1, and Olympus E-P3.
