To all my Flickr friends & contacts . . .

I'm now going in a somewhat different direction with my Flickr account. Apple's MobileMe service is going away, depriving me of the picture Gallery I've used there for sharing pictures with my family, my church, and other organizations. So, I've decided to fold those into my Flickr account. This means that you, my long time friends and contacts here on Flickr, will start seeing huge numbers of pictures that won't be of any particular interest to you, and I'm sorry about that. But I don't want to have to pay for another account to accomodate these.

Going forward, my primary use of this Flickr account will be as a repository of my family pictures that I'm scanning in, and there are LOTS of them. Additionally, I do a lot of photography of events at my church which will also be stored here, available for the church to download and use in its publications.

I'm being careful to categorize these pictures into sets and collections, so you can avoid those, but unfortunately as I post them, you'll be seeing them. I don't want to make them Private just for those people since that would mean they have to join Flickr to see or download them, and lots of people seem not to want to do that. So to make it easy for them, I'm making all of these pictures public.
