I'm definitely an amatuer in photography, but I enjoy it very much. My first love is Slide Shows with music and sound effects. I'm a member on the Photodex site and I have many slide shows posted on this site. Here is the latest one, our grandson's wedding on July 25th, 2009.

Here is a link to our Annual Christmas Eve Party. Santa has found time to attend for a short visit for the last 9 years, to the squealing delight of our young grandchildren. The Christmas Eve party also solves other problems for our daughters. They can exchange gifts, pick up the wrapped gifts we have for the children, visit the spouse's family on Christmas day and it all works out quite well.

I'm thoroughly enjoying all the pictures I find on this site.

I enjoy the inter-action with contacts as new pictures are posted. It's like we are all drawing a map of our lives as daily we experience, and photograph different things and events going on around us.

    "Don,
Thank you for commenting on my photos- I am very new to Flickr and really don't understand the nuances of this site. I felt like a kid waiting in a corner at a dance - and you were the first to ask me to dance! Well, being a mother of four youngsters means I don't have a lot of time to dance, but it is nice to know people like you are out there when time permits!"

"This testimonial should have been written a long time ago because I have been friends with Don for nearly two years. I always like to go back to the photo that drew me in--with Don, it was a photo in the Bull's Eye group of a colored, mirror ball (yard decoration). I gave him a 10 and the rest, is history! Not only is Don the most skilled fellow I know when it comes to Photoshop--he is a great friend. He takes the time to put together informative tutorials (a couple have even made Explore, LOL) and is ALWAYS willing to put up with questions or give a hand when you just can't figure something out. I adore his family, especially those grandchildren--he and Clara are blessed and I know they count those blessings every single day. Just wanted to put my feelings down for the record, Don--sorry it took so long for me to do so. Hugs to you and Clara, my friend!"

"I want to thank Don for his tips in a FlickrMail regarding settings to use for taking photos of the moon during the nighttime hours. I jotted down the tips on a piece of paper and then went into the A.S.M part of the mode button on my still camera and using the Manual setting, set the Aperture to F-8.0, the shutter speed to 1/250th of a setting and the I.S.O up to the highest setting I can get, which is 400. Won't be using my video camera's still camera feature for nighttime moon photos. The video camera now just gets used for photos of the moon when the sun is still providing light in my area."

"Don has been extremely helpful in getting me more proficient with Photoshop Elements. His tutorials are easy to follow and produce startling results with not a lot of effort. Don always has a supportive comment to make, and he has even offered me some constructive criticism that helped me out a lot. It's great to have people like Don on a service like this, so that those that want to improve themselves can have the opportunity, and the encouragement to do so."

"When I think of Don, I think of a clever and creative photographer, but even more I think of a kind and caring friend.
Don has taught me much about PhotoShop. He is a fantastic teacher... patient, kind, and determined to find a way to get me to understand even the most difficult process.
Don has spent a great deal of time helping me and I know my work would not be at the level it is if it were not for his great tutorials.
It is obvious to see through Don's photo stream that he's a devoted husband, father and grandfather. It's wonderful to know such a truly nice person.
Thank you Don for all your help and for your wonderful Flickr friendship!"
