There is this life, this place where things become just a little bit real. I find this magic in the barrio, in the ghetto: A place where the demands of survival smack back at the mass market glitter and the terrains of “fluff but no stuff.” This is where most of the human race lives and struggles, that all too common place that no one really acknowledges, much less tries to capture. This is where suffering is not hidden or market strategy, but sincerely on display as a true part of our human experience.
So I go to these places, sometimes with escort- and take pictures."
