"Joan is not the flower shot type, although he occasionally appreciates the escheresque qualities of these subjects. Neither does he seek to impress with airs and graces, but instead, he creates art from the ordinary, captures the unusual within everyday scenarios, paints the particular within the general with his camera alive .

He skillfully shoots his motifs that range from faces to traces, from light to sight, from poses to roses (yes, occasionally, he does take pictures of flowers. When he does, he shoots them, guts them, cooks and prepares them, and then arranges them tastefully on a plate for the neat society to admire. It's only those in the know who find the discreetly added spices of irony stimulating the inside of their nostrils then...)

"Joan, mi amigo: The first thing that impressed me, were his sunset-photos. These incredible Beachpics with wonderful tones and colours.

and now, with time, I found many other "facetas" of him. that what his pictures have in common is that each of them tells a story. His pictures do really touch me deeply, they touch my soul...
