I live in Vancouver BC, and although I have been a hobby photographer since I was a kid (my first SLR was a screw mount, purely manual everything) I have only recently renewed my love of photography.

I used my old Pentax ME Super (a wonderful workhorse camera) until about 4 years ago when I joined the digital age with a Minolta Z1 digicam. Although I loved the freedom of digital I found the limitations and the controls a bit frustrating, compared to what I was used to even on an old Pentax.

Recently I bought a Nikon D80, and have just fallen in love with cameras and photography all over again. In addition to the kit lens (18-70) that came with it, I have very quickly supplemented it with the 55-200 VR and the classic 50 mm F1.8.

I approach photography from a very technical point of view -- the physics of the camera, a very strong understanding of all the settings and effects. The artistic side is a challenge on me, and something that I am really working on now -- how to take that step from a basic composition to a truly interesting picture. Flickr is a great way to do that, as I can see so many talented artists around here.

I like a photo that can tell a story, I look at a picture and words form in my mind, or I am in a situation where I want an image that describes what I am feeling/thinking at the time. That is what I want to publish whenever possible.

    "Chris

I never met him in person in my life. I found him on Jade post.

I cannot wait to find out more for his great woks.

On visiting his pages here, I discovered that he is a very talented individual. All his works are so excellence that I am just running out of word to describe.

No Word is the best word for him on his master pieces.

I am very very impressed. You are a great Imaging Artist.

Thank you for your kindness, sharing & inspirations to the community.

    You are great.

    I appreciate it."
