I'm a third generation Key West Conch who's been living in Miami for the past 25 years. I first picked up a camera in 1964 and have been hooked ever since. I work in the Wynwood Art District and live in Palmetto Bay so I get to marvel at the sights of downtown on a daily basis. Several years ago I started to bring a camera along which facilitated a gradual shift in my perception. What had been at best a tedious daily ordeal became a mission of exploration. So as Miami grew upwards my image collection also grew. giving me a wealth of material to work with. I then apply what I call Extreme Photoshop manipulations of the image to extract a rainbow of colors, distort with a diffuse glow and artistic actions to create my impressionist renditions. In other words, I play around making random selections in photoshop until I wrestle out something that pleases me. Hope you enjoy the results of my playtime.
