In the spirit of the New Year and fresh starts, I have deleted all my old photos. I hope to gain from 'moving on' and also from better organizing past work, and consolidating it on my web site.

There are a few things I would like to pass on about about my flickr likes and dislikes:

1. Please don't leave any of those award images in your comments. I love to read what you have to say, but words only, please.

2. Also, I dislike 'canned' comments that are just pasted in.

3. While I appreciate one of my photos being selected as a 'favorite' I don't appreciate somebody just 'harvesting' a bunch of my photos, without any comment. Usually I block people who do that.

3. Although I have a fair number of nudes in my photostream, I do not desire to have them end up in somebody's 'T&A' collection, and will block them if I see that happening.

4. If somebody does not have a profile, posts work, or hides behind the default avatar, I will block them.

My first camera arrived one Christmas evening when I was still a teenager. It was an Agfa box camera, and from then on my fascination with photography never quite disappeared. However, I had to put it aside while in college and later on while in the Marine Corps. Fortunately I had the opportunity to go back to college after I left the Marines. Because of the kindness of the Art Departments counselor I was able to take photography courses alongside much younger art majors, finding tremendous inspiration in their work ethic and talents. I became so enthused about art and photography that I returned to the university to get my Masters in Fine Arts. I followed that by a short stint of teaching at the university level both in the United States and Italy. Now, I am an independent photographer and printmaker, living and working in northern Florida.
