With a certain symmetry the first 20 years of my life were spent in East Kilbride, Scotland and last 20 odd have been here in York, England. One of my main passions in life is music and I love going to gigs and festivals, some of which are documented on these pages. Over the past few years in particular I have developed a strange fascination with all things pertaining to urban decay, desolation and isolation and strive, somehow, to capture both moments and places in time before they disappear forever. I blame my obsession with the music of Joy Division for this, though I am not so sure that would fully explain my cataloguing of former Woolworths' stores.
