if i could, i would call myself an artist. that's somehow too brazen. perhaps too pretentious. undeniably narcissistic. i don't create for the purpose of filling people's lives with beauty. who am i to say what beauty is? as the man said (aristotle i think), 'a truly wise man is aware he knows nothing'. so to that effect i will say i am in fact, a creator. professionally i am a photographer. which is to say i go around making images from my own personal point of view. mostly in altruistic efforts (photojournalism), as well as documenting beauty for beauty's sake (art and travel/landscape imagery). as far as personal catharsis, i write. music mainly. as well as words. it's what i grew up with and know the best. i just couldn't bring myself to make a career out of it. too many reasons to explain here. so (and this would have made everything much easier) to sum up; i am a dreamer. a dreamer who will hopefully maintain a steady income.. but a dreamer nonetheless. i can't stand living in the city. asphalt and excesses of people depress me. i am in love with spirals, ocean, and i think mountains house the gods. they certainly look like they do. i have a zipper on my spine. i wear hats.
