"Avec la liberté de celui que la culture n'a pas entièrment englouti, le vagabond de la musique ramasse le morceau de verre qu'il trouve sur la route et le tend vers le soleil pour en faire jaillir milles couleurs"
- Theodor Wiesengrund Adorno

"I know you're a quiet workman on God's eternal construction site and don't like hearing about demolition, but what can I do? Myself, I'm not one of God's bricklayers. Besides, if God's bricklayers built real walls, I doubt we'd be able to demolish them. But instead of walls all I see is stage sets. And stage sets are made to be demolished."
- Milan Kundera

"today, without even knowing it, I ceased to be a person when a man I had never met looked straight through me and saw the violence in his own heart."
- Kazim Ali

"Let me here call attention to one of the most universally popular mistakes that have to do with photography - that of classing supposedly excellent work as professional, and using the term amateur to convey the idea of immature productions and to excuse atrociously poor photographs. As a matter of fact nearly all the greatest work is being, and has always been done, by those who are following photography for the love of it, and not merely for financial reasons. As the name implies, an amateur is one who works for love; and viewed in this light the incorrectness of the popular classification is readily apparent."
- A. Stieglitz

"Morphologically speaking, men represent an intermediary stage between monkeys and great edifices"
-Georges Bataille

"you're as black as MJ... yeah that's about exactly right"
-Holly Clark

...people on flickr used to complain about my swearing, but not so much anymore now. that's pretty fuckin sad... now I have to resort to more subtle and grown up ways of offending people... whatever that entails.

... immigration services officers love to ask me if I speak English... I don't, really, I hire my own interpreter to follow me everywhere...

...stress me out and i'll smoke like a forest fire...

...looking to get a Masters in Photography and Media Studies before i'm too old for school...

""Wow-what a wonderful surprise! AB's photos are like a travel adventure. The shots are are very unique-one minute you are in a the very dark contrast that shadows his portraits and the next minute your in a bright beautiful space I think the site is more like a photo journey. It is one I have enjoyed taking and will continue to come back for the ride. A super image trip!""
