"What impresses me most about Dr. Morgenstern's work is his sheer range. From his gritty depictions of urban landscapes to his saturated surreal snapshots, they are all linked by one vital trait: they convey truth and beauty. I have nothing but admiration for a photographer equally capable of enhancing and opening our eyes to the remarkable AND the mundane"

    habeebee says:

"In Dr.Morgenstern's photos, one looks at the familiar world through an alternate prism of concentrated disruption. What he does with colour and light is exceptional; he swells them, fragments them, infuses them with fevered urgency. Buildings and skyscapes flooded in nuclear neon.

But the painting with effects is not for show, no bright vanity - not even halfway cheer. Many combinations of photo and title do seem to encapsulate a story, the title often just dissonant enough to force a double-take, and sometimes add an afterthought smile. But bar the occasional playful use of the shock of colour, the textural richness just seems to emphasise the city's emptiness all the more.

No, the contrasts blaze, but not with glamour. Instead, the near-apocalyptic intensity as often as not seems to show us the abstraction of loneliness. And with photos like these, one can not look away."

"Dr.Morgenstern, you are a Star, not a Morning Star, but a Shooting Star :))

I really like your Pictures a lot, you have a fresh, creative View on Life and you caption the unusual, pretty, colorful, lovely Things that make it so much Fun to be Alive&Flickring :)

Every Photo is a new World and you handle all kinds of Objects and different Lights like a real Master, I'm a bit jealous ;-)

Keep up the great Work, I'll be watching you :)

    All the best Wishes

    S@m"
