Elwood Prints is a newly established black and white film photography project.
My name is Emma although I work under Patricia Elwood as this was my grandmother's maiden name and with no boys in the family I didn't want such a poetic and artistic name to die out.
I currently live in Newtownards Co. Down in Northern Ireland and I first came across film photography when trying to prove I had something in common with a new boyfriend and it stuck.
I have taken hundreds of rolls in the past few years and am finally trying to share and possibly even sell some of my favourites.
About me - I guess I grow up as the acedemic wonder with great prospects and fabulous friends, although we were never really the cool crowd! I supposed to study medicine - that's what everyone had me pinholed as - even myself. Then I hit teenage angst when I hit 20 and things changed. My love and passion for performance and beauty and nature and art fueled a confused hippie bohemian side and I'm still trying to work out where that leaves me but am determined to at least try to enjoy the ride!
