Hello!

My name is Kate and I am a proud visually impaired jack of all trades. In 2006 I was in an accident that rendered me completely blind in my left eye. Since then my good eye has degenerated. I have since been learning to live partially sighted and adjusting to my new way of life. I swore I will keep up the things I love (photography, dolls, fashion design, and other things) as long as I can!

I am a University student now and hope to teach English in other countrys while I attend a foreign University to become a Fashion Photographer and designer.

what is with the crazy clothes?
The clothing is a fashion movement from Japan called Lolita. I love photographing lolita clothing and wearing it myself. I am a sweet/hime/classic Lolita and wear the Japanese fashion with pride and valor.

...and the dolls?
The Dolls are called Ball Jointed Dolls (BJDs), They originated from Asia. They are completely customizable. I own several myself and enjoy customizing them. I am addicted! If you would like to know more about these dolls feel free to ask me or check out one of my favorite fourms:

Defectivegirl, that is not a nice thing to say about yourself! What is with that??
First of all, LOL. I get this question a lot! I do not think calling myself "defective" is degrading. For me it is how I see myself. I am afflicted with several illnesses and am Blind in one eye/visually Impaired. I think I am defective in some ways but I think all of those things made me what I am today. Everyone is a bit "defective" hu?

How do you manage with such poor vision?
Being totally blind in one eye and close to blind in the other does make a lot of things in life difficult, BUT I want to make the most of every thing I do. I would never give up the things I love, so I decided to do as much as I can for as long as I can!

Yes, I am engaged to a computer genius/Nintendo enthusiast, but I always want more friends!

I am a lolita and would LOVE to be shot by you/model for you! Would you ever do photo shoots for other Lolitas/Cosplayers??
Yes! I would love to do a photo shoot with more lolita and cosplayers. I hope to travel more to Conventions and other meetups so I can get more fantastic shots of lolitas and cosplayers alike! I am thinking of setting up a small business for Cosplayers and Lolita to hire me at a con to take pics of them.

Would you be willing to be hired for wedding shots or normal portraits?
Yes! I have a ton of normal fashion photography that I have yet to upload here. I would be glad to help you create the look you want for beautiful portraits!
