GirlDecayOne's photostream |
Hey,
My name's Nat. I have been taking photos for a few years now. More seriously in the last couple. I study Photography at Tafe and have also completed the Diploma of Graphic Design.
I enjoy alternative developing and printing processes and mainly work with film these days and find myself addicted to searching out unusual or particularly expired films (foreign expired slide film is a favourite). I am not a gear whore. I like to make the most of the equipment I have. I use an old manual Minolta SLR which is a little tank. I also am fond of my Holga 120N. And electrical tape.

Scott G Trenorden Photography says:
"GDO is to me a true artist.
Every time she adds a new work to Flickr, it is, without compromise, yet another piece of richly and deeply affecting photography.
I look to her stream for inspiration and enlightenment in the photographic art, and on a personal note, am warmed and brightened by the simple act of being in her presence.
One of my greatest joys at discovering Flickr is that, through its use, I have met and now count Nat as one of my dearest friends.
She truly lightens up a darkening world."8th November, 2008

sengsta says:
"Nat (aka GDO) is a photographer and artist of prodigious talent. What makes her so frightening is her youth - she can and will only get better. Her images show the seamless integration of an artist's and photographer's eyes, so much so that it is impossible to differentiate the two when viewing her images.
Her love for an urban environment free of turgid and soulless redevelopment is evident in the locations featured in her photography. In many respects, GDO is documenting an aspect of our world that is slowly vanishing, sadly replaced by vacuous geometries masquerading as "modern living environments"."26th June, 2007
