Somehow, not intentionally, I've become a travel photographer--I would hit the road, and the camera would come with me. Home or away, I find my work is mostly about a desire to make the unfamilar, the foreign, be that Asian temples or Chicago baseball, make sense to us.

Much of work has focused on college campuses, with photos from Reed, Dartmouth, and the University of Chicago always popular selections. Lately, I've been revisiting urban spaces, appreciating the old and new and the cobbling together of unique, and usually massive demonstrations of architecture and urban planning.
