I have been in art since my youth and live by way of my paint brush. I have been one of the fortunate ones who have been able to do this for most of their working life .
I have never really seen photography as anything important except to garner resource shots for paintings. The photos themselves were just information I manipulated.
I have had some good cameras over the years but when I crested into digital photography with the C2100 UZ Olympus, there was a subte change. I began to see a possibility in using photography as an artistic medium. That didn't cause me to do much until I looked at some work by Jesse Speer and was blown away.
Since then I have puchased two cameras. The Oly C8080 and the Canon 20 D and three lenses.
So far my work in photography has been rather simplistic and I am not shooting RAW because I don't have Photoshop to really do much with what I shoot and secondarily I don't think I am shooting anything worth keeping ..yet .Maybe one or two shots have been okay.
I will soon pick up Photoshop and so we shall see.
I live in an awesome area surrounded by beauty and getting out with my camera is becoming more and more of a blessing.
