Page level was born in 1979 and grew up in Washington State. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he rose to the rank of staff sergeant and spent time overseas in Korea and Iraq. His interest in photography grew in 2004 when he was inspired by the many journalists and photographers documenting the conflict in Mosul. Since leaving the Army, he has earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from the University of Washington and continues to pursue photography as a way of exploring and understanding the world around him.
