I am a novice when it comes to photography but I am very interested in the subject while not undestanding the mechanics.
I have a stab at identification of subjects but when I get it wrong please let me know.
My husband has been keen on ornithology all his life so is a great help in helping me anticiapte likely actions of birds and animals - we just love getting out and then sharing our efforts with others.
I use a Conon G11 which I carry in my pocket.
Purchased Canon 20D 8.2 megapixel 1 x optical zoom, 1 x digital zoom USB compact flashii, 770 gram 1.8 inch LCD.

EF converter Ti 1.4 auto focus
In a mad moment my husband bought me a second hand Canon 600mm lens (and 1.4 converter) which required a special tripod. Now we can hardy move the thing - not for an oldie like me
I still have probelms with settings especially when there is an urgent shot to take affording a brief opportunity.
