I am a professional writer, born in Maryland living in Mendocino, California U.S.A. I returned home recently after 12 years traveling and teaching English in Asia. My biggest fascination is travel. I spent delightfully enriching time in Bali, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Viet Nam while based in Xiamen, China. But it really feels and looks good to be home on the north coast again.
Through first Fotolog, and now Flickr for the past seven years, photography has become increasingly important to me. Having a digital camera has changed how I see the world.
Until November 2006 I lived with an amazing pal, Carney the Cat. He was one of the world's greatest models. He certainly loved the camera. And then, Kita and Taj, more cats came to my home and delighted my camera. Now I'm rediscovering the wild life of California, especially the birds who come to my little yard.
