Although I love photography and enhance my images in photoshop, I prefer to be called an "artographer" rather than a photographer, just my opinion. =) Since I've been on flickr, my style has been nature, mostly clouds and macros. And thank the Lord for my place of birth, because Guam USA has some of the most spectacular skies on the planet!

Local boy from Guam... joined the navy in 1984, was stationed in San Diego my whole career, stayed for 13 years and then became a civilian in 1997. I was attached to Fighter Squaron TWO in Miramar (deployed with USS RANGER CV 61); then shore duty at COMNAVSURFPAC in Coronado for 8 years; and lastly USS BOXER LHD 4.

cameras: Konica-Minolta Maxxum 7D, Canon 50D, 7D, 5D mk2, Sony A350. Canon for people and Minolta & Sony for nature.

I met JR Manuel in March 2007 while in Guam for a funeral and had the opportunity to shoot with him for a couple of hours a few days before returning to Las Vegas.

JR is the epitome of a well-rounded photographer. He excels at all aspects of photography, landscape, macro, action/sports...I would be surprised if there's anything he can't shoot with perfection!

He is extremely dedicated to capturing the "perfect shot." He will wait hours until he has what he needs. Have a browse through his photostream, and you'll see that you'd probably want JRmannn doing your next event or find yourself hiring him to work on a project that requires a specific skillset.
