In other words: Willemijn is a happy mess of love and adrenaline. She has that special sparkling glow in her eyes which makes me wonder if she's actually from another planet.   "Willemijn is one of my best friends for almost eight (!) years. We started the same way at high school but our lives have taken completely different directions. I went to uni to study forest- and nature conservation, she began to kiss German guys with beards.
  I always thought Willemijn had some kind of “need” to be different. Sometimes it was her hair, sometimes her clothes, sometimes her words…Most of the time I think that her “differences” are pretty cool, but that she doesn’t need them to be special. That’s also why I often like her simple photos of her friends and family the best.
  Don’t get me wrong; she must keep doing her weird, different but rocking stuff, but not to distinguish herself from the mass.
  
  Because with her talent there’s no need to distinguish, she is already a pretty, exceptiona,l cool chick."

  "one of my favourite things about flickr is growth. sometimes that growth is personal, sometimes its my babies, and other times it is the growth of a friend i've met on this strange interface. well no one's growth has fascinated or excited me as much as johanna's. not only have i watched her go from an exciting girl to a strong woman in three short years (really? well, two at least), but her artistic ability has shot into the stratosphere. her early shots were tentative, testing and raw. well, the raw is still there, but now it is connected to confidence and craft and inspiration. plus, she loves my kids. i can't wait to see what this new start brings for you jw."
