I am not a photographer.

Or rather, I am, because I do take pictures, but I'm not a good photographer, so don't get your hopes up. ;)

However, I know enough to know that I'm not a good photographer, so that means that generally I'm not a terrible photographer either. You won't see 8 badly taken pictures of the same thing on my photostream. Sometimes you'll even see something cool.

I began this account when I lived in Portland, Oregon, so there are ample photos of Portland revelry and vegan yumminess and my mellow nannying days among cute kids.

But since then I moved to Busan, South Korea, so my photostream has become more of a documentation of this time in my life, a time that has already ceased to feel very exotic to me. I struggle now to try to pick out what might look/seem strange to the outsider. Because, while I know I am definitely an outsider in the eyes of Koreans, compared to those back home, I'm fitting right in these days. Korea has started to feel like a home of sorts to me, although a home with which I have a very ambivalent relationship.

I co-moderate a community called "That's so Portland!" You should check it out if you want to learn something about Portland. We're careful to choose good pictures to represent our city. Still my city, even though I am far away. Portland touched me in that special place and I would not be surprised if I come waltzing back to her one of these years, after my travels are done.

Anyway, please enjoy my photos, but, you know, not too much. I don't know why you'd steal them, but please don't. I'm broke and need the money!
