"If you ever get the chance to spend an afternoon, with Lawrence and his camera,on the mean streets of the UK.Do it.
You will find it a rewarding, entertaining and educational experience. He is good company and happy to offer help or pass on any tips, which to a newbie like me was invaluable.
His photographs provide a humurous and visual history of our times. So catch him, before the old bill do :)"5th August, 2009

"As far as Flickr goes Stoke is my main man. I appreciate every comment that he has made on my images as well as his testimonial on my work. He is a class act plain and simple!"

Elizabeth Salib says:
"Personality. I think that defines Lawrence's stream quite well. In the overprocessing obsession of Flickr, Lawrence stands out as one who likes to keep things simple, and the way they are. Though his photographs do contain many jewels, I'd have to say that his commentaries most often hold the bulk of the crystal. In a few short sentences he can communicate vast amounts about his personality, which is both witty and intensely intelligent at the same time. You get to see the world through his eyes, and partake in his daily life, and the lives of those he takes pictures of.
Incredibly insightful, keep up the amazing work."14th April, 2008

Scottish Snapper says:
"I first met Lawrence at the inaugural meeting of the 'Stokesley Battenberg Appreciation Society'. A well-known connoisseur of cake, he can be found lurking outside branches of Greggs all over the North East of England... sometimes even with his camera. Over the years, Lawrence has developed his own unique style of street photography, successfully blending humour with poignancy in equal measure. A hundred years from now, people will still be marvelling at the sheer pasty-fuelled genius of his street photos... archived in the world famous Greggs' Collection."

Jim Blob Blann says:
"His photos are great, his captions are great and his comments are great. He's also so romantic that my girlfriend gets annoyed with me for not being more like him :) Although I don't know him personally I can tell he's a very good guy and his photographs speak for themselves. I'm consistently moved by their humor, tragedy and observation. Very glad to have discovered you!"

Susurration2 says:
"Lawrence captures my heart with his romantic and poetic nature. He has an uncanny way of putting people at ease and touching lives with not only his presence on the street, but in how he presents those captures to the world. His excellent wit adds the perfect title and description to his photos to make me laugh and ponder at the same time. He thinks outside the box and his daring photos are ones I look forward to each day. His talent as a street photographer becomes obvious very quickly, his humor and warmth seep into the lives he touches to effect hearts and souls in a very real way."
