Current Show at Heritage Museum
.
I started taking bird shots to round out my photographic skills.
After a month I realized that to take GOOD bird pics I would have to specialize in that .
So , for the time being it's birds that take up my time .
My good friend and photo partner, Walt has an Oldtown canoe . His name on Flickr is Boggy Bayou .
Check out his stream !
We paddle up and down the bayous almost every good weathered morning before going to work .
I have a square stern canoe with a minn kota trolling motor on it for further jaunts around the bayous.It also enables us to take out a 3rd person .
The canoe allows us to come close with a lot of the birds that we photograph.
Boggy Bayou is our back yard and a fertile spot for taking shots of the local wildlife.
We had a show at the NWF Heritage Museum that ran until Jan 2009. We had over 50 framed images of our best and most colorful work .
These days we are just rounding out our portfolio and starting to try a bit of video work .
The bayou's treat us well with glimpses into wildlife behavior that most people never see. We do our best to document these tasty sights ...

    "Guess it's time I added my voice to the chorus: dbuk2 is an original. You can't do better than with this tweaker. His stuff is so out there--he's expanded my mind over and over. And hey, he's a great guy too. Love ya, dbuk2!

    This is added a year or so later: now that dbuk2 is into nature photography, I can't praise him too much. His work is on a professional level, and I'm glad to see that he's getting some recognition. Keep it up, and thanks."

    RoshieBoop (AWAY) says:

    "Soon you'll know of whom I'm speaking;
    he's King of fractals and all around tweaking!

    He renders by day, he renders by night;
    he perfects his work till it looks just right!

    He's a Master of Bryce,
    and he's all around nice;

    He's quite the artist,
    and often the smartest;

    He hogs our Faves spaces,
    has the friendliest of faces;

    He'll lend you his ears,
    and get rid of your tears!

    Of your woes he can ease 'ya,
    just like Mother Theresa!

    If he feels that your pics
    could use some new tricks,

    He'll spend half the day
    to show you the way!

    And his groups are all fun!
    ....but this poem is now done!

    So these praises i sing -- (drum roll, please)
    for DBUK2, the KING!!

    dbuk2, you're the greatest flickr friend one could ask for, as most of the other flickrites already know...you live to help others, whether it's for flickr advice, picture advice OR personal advice!! and your "tutorials" are the best -- even if i'm too dense to learn them quickly, ha ha...

    you're an all around trooper and as perfect of an individual as one could be, with seemingly no effort on your part....you're just a natural "mensch".....(yiddish for "humane")....

    it's a joy to open up my contacts page and see all 5 of your masterpieces, daily!! i feel honored to be part of your "circle of friends"...YOU ROCK!! : ))))))))"

    "August 6, 2005 I made one of your photos my favorites. It was my #6 addition to my list. You are in my favorites list more than any other photographer on Flickr.

    Obviously, I am drawn to your art, don't you think?

    Amazing work, i love your use of color, i love your transparency, i love how much time you spend on your work - I want instant gratification, and you wait hours, and the result is incredible.

    I love it when you go off on another tangent, i think you would make an awesome flower photographer mr. buk.

    Aside from your fantastic art work - you are a good man to know and to have as a friend. You are much like me and a few others on here- we made it through without dying, and with a passion for expression of art, and i'm glad we all found each other. Love you buk."

    "My cyber bro! Dbuk is truly a unique little fishy in this here big ole Flickr sea. His works are a multimedia mashup consistently dripping with vivacious color that oozes from every inch of the screen. I've known Dbuk to utilize Bryce, Photoshop, fractals, photos, drawings, and now animations to create his wonderful abstractions. Truly a visionary with his eye for Bryce. While every other Bryce user is out there making all this landscape crap, the Dbuk is sitting back in his little psychedelic chem lab cooking up some of the most exquisite abstract art you've ever seen. I have always envied his work in Bryce, especially the glass stuff! Keep on cooking up your strange brew my man! Love, Snow"

    Dr Tao says:

    "Mr. dbuk2 is just "crazy" on colours! He has extremely unique creative vision! That"s a true Art borning on the invisible border between real & unreal! Dbuk2"s colours do hitch up the soul! His works do cut into our memory like a scar... Like a nonhealing scar! His use of colour extremely artistic & at the same time deeply spiritualized! The catchycolouring images are enchanting, breathtaking, fabuluos and... Symbolical! And the range of images or themes is limitless! The cultural associations are multiple & original! His Art of playing different colourful textures, forms & shapes is brilliant. And what is important - Mr. dbuk2 is very fruitful! He works a lot. He dreams with colour. He "sleeps" with colour in his mind. And he just "eats" colours! He creates to color and he colors to create! So... He is really - the Great Alchemist of Colour. The Great Magician of Colour. The Great Gourmets of Colour!
    And I can only applause to this accomplished & really big Artist! And, and... to the happy opportunity we have - to view & to admire his unique Art!"
