Firstly, I would love to thank you all individually for your wonderful comments, I do try and answer as many as I can, it's so encouraging and I really appreciate them.

I am new to flickr and photography in general, but I'm learning the ropes. As my parents are both big birders, I have enjoyed birding since a kid. I have joined them on many birding expeditions in both the UK and around the world, and have taken a few myself.

I have had the privledge of volunteering for the RSPB within schools, and love opening the eyes of children (and adults) to see, and appreciate the wonderful world of wildlife that's available to everyone!

It is only in the past few years I have taken up photographing the things I have seen, and the places I have visited. I picked up a DSLR for the first time two years ago, making me a total amateur. It also leaves me with lots of regrets that I have been watching amazing wildlife all these years without a camera!! I am now determined to make up for it. I'm always learning and always amazed at our beautiful planet.

I visit Scotland throughout the year, and it is probably the only time I can concentrate a bit on my wildlife photography. Although, I will endeavour this year to take some time out locally, around Staffordshire and the Midlands.
