A Visual Artist & Painter based in heart of Cork City, Ireland - just opposite the English Market! Cora creates abstracted landscapes that encapsulate her wonderment with the natural world.

Having lived overseas for 15 years, Cora returned to Ireland in 2007. The move to Cork has promoted a love affair with nature - a process Cora describes, simply, as “Standing still and learning to be astonished”.

Using oil, acrylic, inks, papers & lots of found objects, Cora creates volumous, colour-filled artworks that build on her plein air practice. Sizes range from 30cm X 40cm to 8ft X 4ft. Commissions are available upon request.

Cora’s recent ‘Land of Plenty’exhibition at Dublin’s Origin Gallery (February 2011) has been very well received enjoying record sales and glowing reviews. It is, Cora says, “a reminder - that in spite of challenging economic times - we live in a most wonderful place”.

Cora has also recently exhibited with The Lavit Gallery (Cork) and Urban Retreat Gallery (Dublin) and had a landmark solo show - ‘Ballads to the Bog’ at Cill Rialaig Arts Centre, Kerry in October last year. In September of this year she will exhibit ‘A Mexican Odyssey’ at the Embassy of Mexico in Ireland - a body of work made while in Mexico’s Baja desert.

Cora’s work is represented in galleries in Cork, Kerry, Dublin, Westport & Belfast.

She has been a frequent resident at Cill Rialaig Residency,Kerry and has also carried out residencies in Mexico and Italy.
