The Blue Chicken .. mmm ...just another icon ... I have been making photographs for many years, it seems to be a need to keep me balanced. I think it is mostly just about being aware .. seeing, seeing people, seeing things. I also think wherever you go there you are.. for a reason, take the picture!
As for the portraits, I love them, Arnold Newman taught me to be diligent with the subject and with the light so I did, these seems to work for me and others who know the subject(s) I have photographed tend to agree that I captured the soul/personality of the (subject) person,
Ansel Adams taught me to be always check my premises.. to be precise and accurate/predictable. the zone system.. ... well landscapes mmm, right place at the right time and plenty of time to stop and make art .. Sterling, my son…how could one not love to have a favorite subject better than the one you love! click! click! click! ... Cars, I just love them.. the Edsel is mine and Sterling’s and we plan on driving Route 66 (Chicago to Los Angles) some Summer , you will see plenty of new work from that road trip! .. Mexico and Jimmy Buffett with friends! You gotta love it!
