I'm Wayne Smallman, the Managing Director of Octane Interactive Limited.

I'm the principle character behind Octane and I've been in the industry since the mid nineties and have a few qualifications to my name: a National Diploma in Industrial Design, a Higher National Diploma in Product Design and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with honours in Industrial Design, Product Design and Electronic Media.

Honesty, integrity, passion and loyalty are not optional. With me, they come as standard.

Don't be fooled by my seemingly junior appearance. I've been in business for over seven years. I've weathered many a storm, I routinely punch well above my weight and I'm wiser for the experience .. and so are my clients!

I consider some of my clients to be friends and I find familiarity is essential for a truly productive business relationship.

I'm very much averse to wearing a shirt & tie. So long as you know what you're talking about, who cares what you look like? But that isn't to say I don't look the part, I just do things my own way. I always have.

When I'm not running Octane, I'm learning Spanish. Once I've got that licked, I'm going to then learn French and then maybe Italian or German. Not sure which yet .. or maybe both!

While I might not quite be the fitness freak, I do look after my health & fitness, which typically entails jogging 3 times a week, cycling and working out.

I'm six foot seven and about 17 stone, so being a Smallman is always good for a laugh .. but just the once, though! You're unlikely to crack a joke that I've not heard before, believe me.

I enjoy cooking anything that looks interesting, my musical tastes are best described as broadly eclectic and I don't go to the cinema nearly as much as I would like.

I don't really consider myself as being a materialist. Being happy is more important to me than being wealthy. That said, you can pry the keys to my Audi S3 Quattro from cold dead hands!
