cmu chem prof's photostream
|
I have been taking photographs most of my life, but only made the complete switch to digital late in 2006. I used a Nikon D40 dSLR with two main lenses, a Nikkor AF-S 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 zoom and a Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 wide angle, for a bit over two years. Recently I upgraded to a Nikon D90 and have been shooting with the AF-S 18-105mm f3.5-5.6 zoom.
Some of my favorite subjects include landscapes, cityscapes, interesting architecture, and nature. The older photos in the stream were taken wiith a point and shoot digital, or on film.
If you find my photos of interest, please feel free to comment or contact me by email (xrd4fun@aim.com). Thanks for visitng my site!

Eridony says:
"Phil is one of my favorite contacts. I always look forward to him posting pictures because I know they will be great, and you never know what part of the state or country the pictures will show.
Not only is he an excellent photographer he still takes the time to view and comment on my pictures. Despite me being a lesser photographer Phil always has kind and helpful comments. I hope one day to be as skilled in photography as he is."8th August, 2008

TerryJohnston says:
"Phil has taught me a new way to adjust my "photographic eye" on objects that I see. He has shown me that it doesn't matter what equipment you use... what matters is how you use what you have. I'm excited to watch him move into the digital SLR realm and I can't wait to see the photos that I know he is capable of taking. Basically what I'm trying to say is that Phil is the real deal. He has the style, the knowledge and the know how."
