  "I've been drawn to buttersweet's dahlia photos due to my strong impression that, among the thousands/millions of dahlia photos there Must be on flickr, hers stand out in a particular way.. exemplified by her straightforward unpretentious exploration of the blossoms themselves combined with a characteristic sense of movement and playing within the frame-space.. she gives the blossoms full room to move and breathe even when closing in on a fine detail or just one of her color 'crushes'. It's simply seeing, yes, but it is also following what the flowers show her, in a way.
  
  That, for me, anyway, is one of the rare top talents anyone has in any art.
  
  I'm hoping her work maintains those qualities even as she expresses other qualities along her way.
  
  O Would that I could have expressed all that as simply and as powerfully as she photographs! Or maybe I can .. Nancy, I'm swept by the way you show us the sweep of your beloved dahlias. Thank You."
