我常常在課餘時間拿著相機隨意亂拍，有時候拍窗戶，有時候拍椅子，有時候拍牆角，只要看對眼了什麼東西我都會嘗試用不同的角度把它拍下來。大概是我的行為舉止很奇怪吧！有許多同學，甚至是老師，都會問我：「你在拍什麼啊？」我通常笑著回答：「沒什麼，亂拍。」順便掛著有點不知所云的表情，企圖化解這有點尷尬的場面。
開始接觸攝影這玩意兒，大概是在2005年的10月，距現在不過三年，其實也不久。那時候我買了人生中第一台數位單眼相機，是當時Nikon新推出的D50。剛拿到相機的心情是興奮的，不懂構圖、不懂測光，甚至連相機的基本操作都不太懂就到處亂拍照，想當然爾，也沒有什麼可以見人的照片。接觸flickr算是一個轉捩點，許多令我震撼不已的好照片不但開拓了眼界；第一次有人留下評語，第一次有人把我的照片加入favorite，第一次有人加我為contact，漸漸地也鼓舞我想拍出好照片的念頭。
一開始我拍風景，尤其是拍夕陽，因為我想拍出很多人喜愛的、很美的風景照片。慢慢地我不這麼追逐這種俗稱「大景」的美了，而開始學習去拍「日常生活」。拍生活照？沒錯，說起來好像很簡單，但是我覺得實踐起來很難。要怎麼樣才能拍出一張不落入俗套的生活照呢？要仔細觀察，要用心體會，要在短時間內想像構圖，要把握正確的快門時機。一張好的生活照可以凝結當時的氣氛，可以提供觀者不同的觀察角度，甚至因應各人不同的生活背景而有各自的想像故事。
後來，我在數位時代裡逆向而行，走進了底片的世界。底片給了我不同的攝影觀。對我而言，與數位相比，底片的最大優勢不只是畫質、散景或是銀鹽的味道，而是多了那一份「期待」的感覺！一卷底片36張（120底片更少，只有12張），只有在沖洗店洗出來之後才能知道結果，這種過程對我來說是一種樂趣，這種期待的感覺帶給我無比的樂趣，生活好像也就多了點刺激。
最近越來越覺得，攝影可能已經改變了我的一生。因為攝影，讓我更細心觀察這個美好的世界；因為攝影，生活變得不再枯燥；因為攝影，我認識了好多朋友；甚至我覺得因為攝影，和家人、朋友和情人之間的感情變得更融洽。
