"What I admire the most of Alan's works is the genuine sincerity it has, no vanity, no false pretensions, he doesn't wants to show how talented, brave or virtuous he is, or how many trips he has made. Always surrounded by gorgeous women, Alan is a truly loyal soldier of the craft of photography, there’s no doubt."

"I cannot emphasize enough the importance of Alan's documentary photography, especially when exposing the delicate situation surrounding young people at risk in our often inhumane societies.
Alan obviously has a close enough relationship with his subjects to be able to convey the unmasked truth of their social reality, a situation that demands a high level of ethical reasoning and evaluation before exposure.
As a person working daily in many of the situations exposed in Alan's images, I have no difficulty in symathizing with the people he portrays and the their social surroundings.
Alan's images should be seen by anyone who dreams of one day doing something good to change the situations he illustrates in his pictures, because they will certainly help to turn such dreams into actions................

Alan's photography has my full support and respect.

"Experiencing Alan’s work touches a raw spot, affecting me deeply in ways I can’t describe. He brings such lucidity, grace and beauty to his images of sadness, despair and the fallen that you will yourself beyond your empathetic pain to look again and again. It took me several days to go through Alan’s work. Afterwards I felt numbed, immobilized; could not pick up my camera for many weeks after. He is one of the kindest, truest, least egotistical people here on Flickr, which is amazing for someone who does such exceptional work."

    Dave in Tejas says:

"This body of work given to us for review by Alan is in a word...beyond beautiful! Sorry, thats two words.

His dedication to Photography as a pure art form is hard to find in these days where visuals scream at us looking for validation. Its the whispered word that takes our true attention and thats what Alan's work is. Simple, direct, wonderful, and so well thought out. Each image is a like a conservation where you can directly see into the soul of the person you are talking with. Alan's images reveal the essence of his subject be it person or landscape. Its all about photography as the vehicle to translate the event...thank you Alan!"

"Alan is a master of his craft. He has the talent to capture the most heartbreaking of subjects and force you to look at them through his beautifull imagery. His work on streetkids is the best I have ever seen. Period."

"Your stream is the very best thing I've found on FLICKR. I used to be a journalist & I always had a lot of respect for photojournalists... but your stuff is elevated, an art form, an epiphany, a deep dedication that I admire very much."
