I just take pictures for fun. I'm not a "pro" and don't wish to be judged like one.
For a long time I only had a point and shoot digital, an hp photosmart 435, nothing fancy. Recently I got a Nikon Coolpix, as a Christmas present, from Jeff. I am still learning what it's capable of, but I love this camera!!
I also use my scanner for various art projects. It has a limited range of focus, but excellent detail, and I have found it very useful for scanning many objects other then paper and old photographs. It's made by Canon, so I treat it like just another camera of sorts.
I like to play with my photos using a simple Adobe art program. I'm still learning how to photoshop pictures, but I like to think I'm getting better at it.
I'm not competitive. This is just a hobby for me, like my drawing is.
Critical comments are unwelcome.
Please ask me if you want to use my photographs for anything. I will probably say yes, in most cases. My pictures are like my children to me, and I would like to see where they go in this world.

You might have noticed my comments are blocked to strangers. I have encountered some rude people here on flickr. I know that most people are nice, but to protect my feelings I have blocked my comments. My contacts can comment, and if we chat a bit, and I decide I like you, I'll make you my contact. It also makes it easier because, although I like being invited to join groups, 100's of invites are too overwhelming for me to deal with. I like to get to know people, become friends, and with thousands of people commenting, it makes it difficult to do that. So if your sincere, you will write to me. It's just better for me this way.
If your my contact, or you belong to a group I have joined, feel free to invite me to your groups, or give out rewards, I will try do do the same. Thank You for understanding :-)
