I have been a photographer for a number of years now. My interest in photography covers a wide variety of topics including landscapes, old farms, trucks/cars, weddings, children, local events, macro, animals and birds.The photo-editing programs I am using are Nikon View NX2, Photomatix, Photoshop CS4 and Topaz Adjust.

My current interest is with HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography. I enjoy macro and have come up with a few Macro Rigs with one of those using plumbing pipe of all things as an extension tube....cheap and it works great!

Carl Brenders is an artist that I have followed over the years for his amazing details in the animals he paints. It got to the point that I could spot his artwork in a store a mile away. After computing WHY I like his work so much I came to the conclusion that it was the "details" in the animals that really drew me to his work. HDR photography is a great tool to bring out details in an image...so, that is the journey I am on now to fine-tune my photo-editing so that I can find more details in all images.

I Edit my images in Photoshop's LAB Mode which is a little on the hard side to learn ...but I am a sucker for punishment and continue on using it to slice and dice tones and colors. I have started a LAB Flickr Group because the other one is run by a 14 year old kid who inherited running the group from his dad. The kid has zero LAB experience but sure does know how to crack the whip on who's in and who's out of the group with all kinds of rules to follow....life is too short you know...so, here is the alternative:
